Professor Keith R. McVilly PhD is a Registered Clinical Psychologist and the Foundation Professorial Fellow for Disability & Inclusion, in the School of Social & Political Sciences at the University of Melbourne. His work addresses the translation of research into policy and practice, with a focus on promoting the well-being and community inclusion of people with multiple and complex disabling experiences.

Knowing who is providing your support and what they can do for you are fundamental safeguards that every person with disability should have available to them

  • Registration of the disability workforce is one way we might increase the workforce's quality, reduce risks, and progress safeguarding for people with disability and service providers.

  • Responsive Regulatory Theory (RRT) proposes a variety of approaches to regulation in the labour market.

  • Might now be the time to find a new way of being a professional in the disability sector, while ensuring the human element remains central to human services, and how might we do this?
