Dr Anneke Jurgens is a psychologist with over 18 years’ experience in the disability sector, working as a senior practitioner, positive behaviour support practitioner, quality manager, researcher, and disability support worker.

In her current role as Head of Practice Innovation at Melba Support Services, Anneke is focussed on continual enhancement of the organisation’s approach to inclusive governance, policy matters, service effectiveness, and front-line practice that supports empowerment and quality of life outcomes for people with disability, eliminating restrictive practices and embedding a zero-tolerance approach.

Anneke has a particular interest in the interplay between policy and practice to systemically embed contemporary human rights-based and person-led approaches to achieve individual outcomes. Anneke holds a Master of Psychology (Educational & Developmental)/Doctor of Philosophy, Postgraduate Diploma of Psychology and Bachelor of Arts.
