Jackie Leach Scully is Professor of Bioethics and Director of the Disability Innovation Institute at UNSW Sydney. The Institute has a strong focus on translating inclusive and co-produced research into outcomes that inform policy and practice for people with disability. Jackie’s research looks at how innovations in health care and technology affect the lives of disabled people, and how ethical principles can be integrated into policy frameworks. She is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of the Humanities, the Royal Society of New South Wales, and the Academy of Social Sciences in the UK, and has been a disability activist for over 40 years.
