With a background in regulation, Tim has a passion for quality and safeguarding in the disability and social services sectors. Tim is an experienced and purpose driven executive leader with a strong commitment to high quality service delivery to people living with disability.With expertise in areas such as NDIS legislation, strategy development, and commercial contract management, Tim is drawn towards areas that demonstrate good strategic governance, social impact and service excellence.
From 2018-2023, Tim was the SA State Director for the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. In this role, Tim oversaw efforts to improve the standard of NDIS supports across South Australia and nationally in collaboration with participants and providers alike. This experience grew his appreciation for being customer-led. Tim is a recent CEO of a medium sized disability NFP, leading an association that was member governed and customer driven. Tim is currently the Chief Operating Officer for Disability and Specialised Services with the SA Department of Human Services.
Tim’s service delivery and regulatory background spans a 20-year career in the Commonwealth and SA public service. He honed his leadership skills while managing large remote teams in Public Housing, Child Protection, and the Australian Sports Commission. Tim holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Exercise and Sports Science), a Post Graduate Diploma in Social Science, a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
