DAY 3 | Workshop

Thursday 10th September

Delivering Better Outcomes for First Nations NDIS Participants

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people continue to face significant barriers in accessing culturally safe, consistent and high-quality disability support services. For NDIS providers, improving engagement with First Nations participants and communities is no longer optional – it is essential to delivering quality care and meeting participant expectations.

This practical one-day workshop has been designed specifically for NDIS providers, support coordinators, allied health professionals and frontline teams looking to strengthen their understanding, capability and approach when working with First Nations participants, families and communities.

The workshop will provide practical guidance on cultural safety, community engagement, trust building, communication, workforce capability and delivering services in ways that are responsive, respectful and community-led.
